The best, most zen path is remaining unattached to all the outcomes. You can still feel happy when things work out, but you weren't hanging out hat on that probability. It's easier said than done, though, because we love to attach. Have you ever looked at something and thought, "Something is wrong, I just can't quite put my finger on it?" Perhaps you thought this while watching a Tubi original animated film. The characters just look a little unsettling, though you couldn't fully articulate the reason. Maybe the sensation you were feeling could be explained by "The Uncanny Valley," a term used to describe the off-putting space between something looking real and human-like and something looking fake or inanimate. SpongeBob, for example, lands on the safe side of the uncanny valley because he looks nothing like a real human, so our brains can quickly categorize him as a cartoon. But when things are in between, it gets weird. These pictures celebrate the in-between. They know they're weird, and they don't care to change that. They're weird, and that's what makes them special. They know what they bring to the table, and they're not afraid to lean into it. Because it's time for the design fails list, and here we are.
